It has been a year since Faegre Baker Daniels began operation as one firm, following the combination of Faegre & Benson and Baker & Daniels in January, 2012. As the integration is still a work in progress, the rebranded firm reported strong financial performance in its first year and is expected to open a new office in 2013.
In its inaugural year, Faegre Baker Daniels increased revenue and profitability over the pre-merger firms' combined performance, Managing Partner Andrew Humphrey told the Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal. He added that Faegre Baker Daniels "solidly outperformed our budget and all of our key metrics." Asked about logistics of a merger, and its impact on client service, Humphrey said, "I'm sure we haven't done it perfectly, but we've done it well. We've laid the foundation. It's really an opportunity now to reach outward even further and focus even more strongly on our clients."
