Just Label It? The Potential Impact of California's Proposed GE-Labeling Legislation

Prop 37, a California ballot initiative introduced in 2012, seeks to mandate labeling of all genetically engineered (GE) raw agricultural commodities and processed foods with more than 0.5 percent GE ingredients. If passed, Prop 37 would make California the first state with a GE-labeling requirement.
