Engler Explains Faegre & Benson's Longevity in The Deal

In March, Minnesota's unemployment rate was 2 percent lower than the national average, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Members of the business community give credit for that positive economic indicator to a deep-rooted corporate presence, and that opinion is supported by fact: 20 Fortune 500 companies are headquartered in Minnesota, which is the highest per capita of any state. Many of those companies were established in the early 1900's.

Bruce Engler told The Deal, "We grew up as a law firm representing these early industrial companies, many of which are still around in one form or another, and that's one of the reasons we've been around for as long as we have." Faegre & Benson is one of the state's largest law firms, and in 2011 the firm celebrated its 125 years of service.
