Town of Fishers (IN) to Consider New Road and Bridge Impact Fees

The Town of Fishers Town Council will consider an ordinance to update its road impact fee ordinance and to adopt a new bridge impact fee ordinance at its June 21, 2010, meeting. These ordinances were considered and given a favorable recommendation by the town's Plan Commission at its June 14, 2010, hearing.

As proposed, the new town-wide road impact fee would increase from $185.50 per trip to $237.03 per trip.

The proposed Bridge Impact Fee Ordinance is a new impact fee for the purpose of planning and financing bridge construction infrastructure to serve new developments in the town. The fee is further explained by the town's Engineering Department in its Plan Commission Staff Report found here. As proposed, the new bridge impact fee would be $22.96 per trip.

The new fee structure will go into effect six months from the date of adoption.
