Amie Peele Carter, Patrick Miller Blogging on IP, Design-Build Law Practices

In the AmLaw 200, a total of 122 law firms - or 61 percent - are blogging, according to Kevin O'Keefe in his report, "State of the AmLaw 200 Blogosphere, November 2010," on www.kevin.lexblog.com. The total is up from 39 firms, representing a 212 percent increase, since August 2007 when LexBlog released its first State of the AmLaw Blogosphere.

Among the law blogs are three by Baker & Daniels professionals, two of which are practice specific:

  • The Circle ® by Amie Peele Carter on intellectual property issues in the fashion, sports and entertainment industries.
  • Design-Build Board by Patrick Miller on design-build project opportunities as well as news and legal issues affecting the design-build industry.
  • Find Your Equilibrium, also by Amie Peele Carter, on maintaining balance, sanity and a sense of humor for working professionals of the sandwich generation.

The total number of blogs published by AmLaw 200 law firms has grown nearly 420 percent in that same time frame, from 74 in August 2007 to 386 in November 2010, according to LexBlog. In the seven months since LexBlog released its fifth State of the AmLaw 200 Blogosphere in March 2010, the number of AmLaw 200 law firms blogging has grown 27 percent.
