A Unique Response to the Nursing Shortage

Washington, D.C., government relations director Jodie Curtis of the Government and Regulatory Affairs Practice Group authored “A Unique Response to the Nursing Shortage.” The article, published in the July/August 2008 issue of The Journal for Nurse Practitioners, discusses legislation, the Troops to Nurse Teachers Act of 2008, that will increase the number of nurse educators by developing partnerships between civilian schools of nursing and the military.
