Overview

Richard Coe and Elizabeth Diffley Speak at RSM 2nd Annual Growth Summit

On January 12, 2016, Philadelphia Partners Richard Coe and Beth Diffley joined a panel at the RSM 2nd Annual Growth Summit, titled, “Corporate Litigation – Strategies to Preserve, Not Prevent Growth.”  Rick and Beth were joined on the panel by David Stiens, a partner at LLR Partners, a Philadelphia based private equity firm, and Jess Pryor, the founder and CEO of Ambridge Partners, one of the nation’s leading transactional insurance providers.

The panel, moderated by RSM Principal Greg Cowhey, explored the different aspects of the M&A process from due diligence to potential post-transaction disputes, and identified risk management techniques to preserve and protect growth and value.

Panel discussion topics included: important transaction document drafting techniques to protect and preserve value; key aspects of pre-transaction due diligence that outside counsel and transaction principal partners can conduct concurrently; leading edge strategies in the use of transactional insurance products to safeguard against unwanted adverse economic impacts on growth and value; common types of post-transaction disputes, and the use of dispute resolution procedures to increase the odds of success in a post-transaction dispute.
