Pennsylvania State Trial Judges’ Conference

Overview

Philadelphia partner Alicia Hickok and one other lawyer presented a program, moderated by Court of Common Pleas Judge Idee Fox, at the Pennsylvania State Trial Judges’ Conference on July 26. During a 1.5 hour breakout session, the two attorneys discussed a trial court’s authority to proceed once a notice of appeal has been filed and highlighted recent developments in this area.

The conference is one of two meetings scheduled each year for state judges to come together to discuss issues and current topics of interest to trial judges. Judges are able to participate in meetings involving their areas of concentrations, including civil, criminal, juvenile delinquency and dependency court proceedings.

All panelists appeared by invitation only.
