2017 Villanova Environmental Law Journal Symposium

Overview

Philadelphia associate Leigh Bausinger was part of a three-person symposium panel assembled by the Villanova Environmental Law Journal to speak at a CLE program titled, “Implementing the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act.”

The event examined the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act, which Congress recently passed to update the federal regulation of chemicals. Among other things, the new act will significantly alter the way EPA reviews and regulates the manufacture and import of new chemical substances and changes the way confidential business information claims may be asserted. Other panelists included Brian Grant, Assistant General Counsel at EPA’s Office of General Counsel, and Richard Denison, Lead Senior Scientist, Environmental Defense Fund.
