Labor and employment attorneys Aaron Vance and Catie Wheatley hosted a discussion titled “Growing P(AI)ns: Considerations for the Effective Use of AI in Hiring and Staffing Decisions” at the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s 11th Annual Kentucky Workforce Summit.
Vance and Wheatley discussed the pros and cons of how artificial intelligence tools can be used to "right-size," modify, and enhance a business' human capital and the practical and legal considerations that follow, including management and employment decisions and potential associated risks. The attorneys also provided an overview of employee AI use, and what steps employers can, should, and must take to manage these risks to safeguard sensitive confidential and proprietary information.
