Insurance partner Dawn Williams presented at the CEFLI Annual Conference with a session titled, “Regulatory and Company Oversight of Suitability/Best Interest.”

The session provided an overview of evolving challenges pertaining to compliance with state insurance Suitability/Best Interest regulatory requirements. The panelists explored some of the challenges that life insurers face when undergoing examinations for compliance with, among other issues, oversight of Suitability/Best Interest practices related to distribution of annuity products through third-party distributors such as banks and broker-dealers.
