Overview
Don’t miss this opportunity to hear Faegre Drinker attorneys discuss the UK Employment Rights Bill — the most significant overhaul of UK employment law in a generation. Attorneys Alex Denny and Emma Vennesson will cover aspects of the legislation businesses must start preparing for if they are to be compliant by the time of implementation, expected to begin in early 2026. In addition to other aspects of the bill, Alex and Emma will detail expected changes surrounding:
- Unfair dismissal: Protections from unfair dismissal will become a day-one right
- Fire and rehire: New limits will curb the use of 'fire and rehire' practices to push through changes to employment terms
- Collective redundancy: New criteria will trigger collective redundancy consultation obligations
- NDAs: Additional limits will apply to provisions restricting the disclosure of harassment and discrimination allegations
- Sexual harassment: Employers will be under a duty to take all reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment
- Family leave: Statutory paternity and parental leave will become day-one entitlements
These are only some of the changes in the sweeping legislation that will be discussed. Register today!
