Can you handle the truth? Ethical rules and corporate codes of conduct require attorneys to be honest in tough circumstances. This CLE will give practical guidance on how people maintain their integrity when it matters. We will cover ethical rules and corporate codes of conduct, the mystery of truthful witnesses who look like they’re lying, and the beneficial effects of honesty on attorney wellness and the profession. In addition, a professional actor will act out a modified version of Colonel Nathan Jessup’s testimony – as analyzed by a top witness consultant – from the iconic legal drama A Few Good Men.
This ethics CLE is presented by Faegre Drinker partner John Ursu and former partner and appointed District Court Judge in Minnesota’s First Judicial District Chuck Webber. It also includes the analysis of psychologist and trial consultant Merrie Jo Pitera and an interview with the Honorable Patrick J. Schiltz.
This program is co-sponsored by 3M, Boston Scientific Corporation and Cargill.
