Pay Data Reporting Update: Be Ready for California’s SB 973 March 31 Deadline and What to Watch in 2021

California’s Pay Data Reporting Portal opens for the first time on February 16 and employers must submit their reports by March 31, 2021. As employers prepare to report, this interactive panel will address frequently asked questions regarding compliance with the new law. They will also discuss other recent developments at the federal and state level regarding efforts to collect pay data for enforcement activity, including for federal contractors. In addition, the panel will address how pay equity audits can be done in conjunction with pay data reporting.

Topics to be discussed include:

  • Answers to practical questions on how to report pay data
  • The EEOC’s plans with regard to pay data collection
  • State law trends, including Colorado’s new pay equity law and “transparency” requirements
  • Comparison to pay data reporting obligations in foreign jurisdictions
  • Interplay with the OFCCP’s reporting obligations
  • Late breaking developments from the Biden administration
