Florham Park partner Tracey Salmon-Smith moderated a panel on “Practical and Legal Considerations for Litigating Elder Abuse Claims for the Growing Senior Population” for the Practising Law Institute’s 2019 Securities Arbitration program.

Panelists tackled some of the challenges of litigating and arbitrating elder abuse claims. Tracey guided a discussion that touched on how to manage the increase in elder abuse claims brought before FINRA; the codification of FINRA’s expedited proceedings for seniors and ill parties; and the variations in elder abuse statutes from state to state.
