Product Developments in Fixed and Fixed-Indexed Annuities

Washington, D.C., partner Jason Gould moderated a panel discussion on “Product Developments in Fixed and Fixed-Indexed Annuities” at the Insured Retirement Institute (IRI) ACTION 19 conference on May 16, 2019, in Washington, D.C.

Together with his fellow panelists—Dale Fuller, senior director at Allianz Life Insurance Company; Kevin Mechtley, legal AVP and director of government affairs at Sammons Financial Group; and David Wolfe, general counsel at Advisors Excel—Jason examined significant innovations in fixed and fixed-indexed annuity products over the past year. Among other things, the panel discussed advancements in bringing new products to the market, populating and managing order-entry systems and supporting in-force products. They also looked ahead to identify changes and challenges that may come in the next couple of years.

IRI’s ACTION 19 conference was designed to capitalize on the synergies between dynamic thought-leaders of the retirement income industry in the advocacy, legal and compliance community and the operations and technology community.
