Philadelphia partner Michael Daly and associate Katie Garayoa presented a discussion titled “‘We Got Sued Over What?!’: Recognizing and Reducing Your Class Action Risks” at the Association of Corporate Counsel’s In-House Counsel Conference on April 24, 2019. Joining them was Todd Hutchison, Associate Litigation Counsel at Campbell Soup Company.

Mike and Katie covered recent trends in consumer class actions to help attendees stay apprised of the law and ahead of the plaintiffs’ bar. They also examined why “gotcha” class actions have proliferated, what activities can create class action risk, and some of the best practices for avoiding—and, if necessary, defending—such suits.
