Overview

In this session, Steve Lokensgard and Peter B. Hofrenning, professor of law and assistant director of Health Law Center at Hamline University School of Law, addressed the impact of the Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS) on telemedicine arrangements. They also discussed unlawful patient inducement issues associated with telemedicine, and reviewed limitations on the prescription of controlled substances to telehealth patients.
