The Impact of Policy on Life Sciences & Healthcare Innovation

Indianapolis, IN

Overview

As the country decides which party will ultimately control Congress at the mid-term elections, record voter turnout is expected. With an unprecedented number of voters, what can’t be predicted is what the results will be.

One thing is for certain: the outcomes will have a direct impact on policies that govern the life sciences and healthcare industries. In this session, experts from Washington D.C. and Indianapolis will talk about the impact policy has on innovation. We will also discuss current policies and how they are affecting R&D and business.

David Zook, chair of Faegre Baker Daniels Consulting, will deliver a keynote presentation on how the November election will affect policy in the future and how Indiana can navigate the changes. David will moderate a discussion with experts from healthcare and life sciences including:

  • Anne F. Hathaway, Executive Director, Indiana Medical Device Manufacturers Council
  • Jennifer L. Kowalski, Vice President, Public Policy Institute, Anthem, Inc.
  • Elisha Lee Modisett Kemp, State Government and Industry Affairs Leader, Corteva Agriscience, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont
