International Update

Overview

Kenneth Dort, intellectual property partner in Chicago, spoke at the Canadian Bar Association’s 2017 Access to Information and Privacy Law Symposium on Friday, October 27, in Ottawa, Canada. His session, “International Update,” brought together international lawyers to discuss developments in public and private sector privacy law and access to information law. The session also featured Jade Kowalski of DAC Beachcroft in London and was moderated by John Beardwood, Partner at Fasken Martineau LLP in Toronto, ON.

The symposium covered topics such as privacy law implications of the upcoming GDPR, international anti-spam legislation and privacy and access issues from a regulators’ perspective.
