Paradoxes in Law that Create Compliance Headaches

The legal and regulatory environment governing long term care insurance has developed in a way such that numerous contradictions and other paradoxes have developed. This presentation discussed best practices and other tips for navigating scenarios where the path to compliance may lead to a fork in the road. The session examined a number of different real world examples where state laws and regulations conflicted with each other or the applicable policy language, and led to a robust group discussion about how the conflicts could be resolved in a way that minimizes risk for the carrier.
