Recent "Game-Changing" Franchise Developments

What Do They Mean For Franchisors And Franchising?

Overview

With recent developments like the NLRB/McDonald’s complaints and related “joint employer” issues, the Patterson/Domino’s decision holding that franchisors are not liable for acts of franchisees, proposed minimum wage increases on several fronts, and the ongoing franchise legislative efforts in various states, including California, franchisors are anxiously seeking ways to deal with these relevant business and legal issues within their organizations and strategically plan for the future.  Franchising, as we know it, is at a critical crossroads.  Now is the time to understand the critical pressure points and act accordingly.

Please join Brian Schnell, Kerry Bundy, Bill Killion, Tom Posey and Nick Rotchadl for an engaging conversation to explore what each of these developments means in the real world, including how franchisors should proactively address these developments in a way that makes practical sense. We will identify the key pressure points, best practices and potential solutions for franchisors to consider while also discussing how these external forces will impact them, their franchise systems and their franchisees.
