Anyone regularly involved in construction projects should have a basic understanding of fundamental construction law principles. Legal principles influence trends in insurance and bonding, control the enforceability of contract provisions, define the rights and obligations of parties, determine the format for resolving disputes, and shape the nature, amount and outcome of claims.
At the 2014 Construction Law Update, Faegre Baker Daniels construction lawyers will explain important legal changes from the past year. The seminar will be broadcast over videoconference and will consist of live presentations from four cities, including a summary of recent developments in arbitration by Patrick J. O'Connor, Jr., co-author of Bruner & O'Connor on Construction Law, the nation's definitive treatise on construction law. In addition to covering national trends in construction law, the half-day seminar will include a summary of key legal developments in Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, and Minnesota, respectively.
The seminar also provides an opportunity to network with contractors, subcontractors, designers, owners, sureties, insurance professionals, consultants, service providers and legal professionals in your community.
