2013 National Health Research Forum: Straight Talk About the Future of Medical and Health Research

Overview

Debra Lappin of Faegre Baker Daniels will join a panel on "Buttressing an Innovation Culture" at the 2013 National Health Research Forum, hosted by Research!America. Lappin will join the director of the National Institutes of Health and representatives from Celgene Corporation, Eli Lilly and Company and the University of Maryland for a discussion on how to elevate medical and health research to become an unassailable national priority.

The National Health Research Forum is an opportunity to hear from directors of each of the Health and Human Services agencies and other government, industry, academic and advocacy organizations on medical, health and scientific research issues. The 2013 forum will examine how the nation is both advancing and stultifying health through research and how to bridge the distance between the medical and health research we have and the one that is needed.
