Employer Roundtable: A Discussion with Commissioner Kevin Lindsey

Since being appointed Commissioner of the MDHR in February 2011, Kevin Lindsey has battled legislative efforts to eliminate more than half of the department's funding, modified internal procedures to resolve charges faster and to ensure that all charges are investigated, and instituted a mandatory mediation program. Commissioner Lindsey brings a unique perspective to his role as Commissioner, having previously served as a trial lawyer for the Ramsey County Attorney's office, an employment lawyer in private practice, an in-house counsel, and Chief Operating Officer of Axis, Inc., where he managed human resources operations.

This will be an informal discussion with Commissioner Lindsey about the changes at MDHR and how they will impact all employers. Commissioner Lindsey will also address MDHR initiatives and trends and provide tips for employers in their interaction with the Department. Participants are encouraged to submit anonymous questions for Commissioner Lindsay in advance.
