Karen Woodward Named a 2026 “Unsung Hero” by Minnesota Lawyer

Director of Internal Events and Office Administration Karen Woodward was recognized by the Minnesota Lawyer as a 2026 “Unsung Hero.” The award honors the “backbone of Minnesota’s law firms and legal departments.”

According to the Minnesota Lawyer, the Unsung Legal Heroes play a critical role in making the lawyers look good in court and the offices looking good all the time. They are important to their colleagues, their clients and their communities. The Unsung Heroes work behind the scenes to ensure the work gets done efficiently and accurately.

Colleagues praise Woodward for her diligence and attention to detail. One credits her “operational mastery” with making events as diverse as employee welcome parties, professional summits and retreats feel unique and on-point. It helps that she’s an effective negotiator, they say. With so many events on the calendar, management counts on her to keep costs in check.
