Dana Gray Selected as a 2022 ‘Unsung Legal Hero’ by Minnesota Lawyer

Managing Director of Professional Development Dana Gray has been named a 2022 “Unsung Legal Hero” by Minnesota Lawyer. The “Unsung Legal Heroes” awards are given to legal administrative assistants, paralegals and judicial clerks; administrators or office managers; librarians; and accounting, information technology and marketing staff members who help get attorneys prepared and aid them in their successes.

Gray leads Faegre Drinker’s efforts to develop, engage and retain attorneys and consultants. She oversees the development of programs to progress the firm’s talent through practice skills development, customized coaching, performance management and understanding the business of operating a law firm. Her law firm operations experience includes positions as professional development manager and recruiting manager at the firm.

“Unsung Legal Heroes” will be honored during an awards event on Sept. 16, 2022. Minnesota Lawyer will also honor “Up & Coming Attorneys” at the ceremony, given to distinguished attorneys within their first 10 years of practice, including intellectual property partner David Merritt.

In a feature profile with the Minnesota Lawyer, Gray discussed her ability to spot talent and her growth within the firm over three decades. Gray said seeing and helping her colleagues blossom gives her great pride and satisfaction.
