Indianapolis partners Marilee Springer and Brittney Yocum have been recognized as Indiana Lawyer 2022 “Leadership in Law” honorees for their commitment to their profession, to the clients they serve and to the community. Each year, the publication selects 15 “Distinguished Barrister” and 15 “Up and Coming Lawyer” honorees.
Springer was selected as a “Distinguished Barrister” honoree, an award that recognizes Indiana attorneys who have been practicing for at least 20 years. As a partner in the corporate practice group, she serves as outside general counsel to her clients, providing concierge-level service to tax-exempt organizations, social impact entities, donors and high-net-worth families, and quasi-governmental entities. Springer is also a member of the firm’s health and life sciences industry team steering committee, for which she co-leads the hospitals and health systems segment.
Yocum was selected as an “Up and Coming Lawyer” honoree, an award that honors members of the legal community who have been practicing for 10 years or less. Yocum advises clients in an array of industries on mergers and acquisitions, private-equity transactions, and general corporate matters. She is a trusted legal adviser to her clients and provides tactical solutions for clients at all stages of business, from advising on business formation issues to conducting strategic acquisitions and sale transactions.
Springer and Yocum will be recognized at an awards ceremony on June 1 at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in downtown Indianapolis.
