In Memoriam: Robert McNair, Jr.
Our friend and former partner Robert McNair, Jr. passed away on April 1, 2019 after a short illness.
Bob graduated from Dartmouth College in 1969 and earned his J.D. from Stanford University in 74. Bob was at one time a Vietnam-era infantry sergeant squad leader in the Fourth Infantry Division, a speechwriter for John V. Tunney, Senator from California and son of the famous boxer Gene Tunney, an early partner in the Los Angeles firm of Menel Jacobs, a pioneering legal expert in the field of health care law and Senior Philadelphia Counsel at Allegheny Health Education and Research Foundation. He joined Drinker Biddle’s Health Care group in 1989, left in 1992 for Allegheny, and returned in 1998 until 2004 when he became Associate Counsel at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
Bob married his wife of 39 years, Sally, in 1979. They had two daughters, Catherine and Sarah.
Relatives and Friends are invited to his Visitation on Friday, April 12th, from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m., ALL IN CHURCH at St. David’s Episcopal Church, 763 Valley Forge Rd., Wayne, PA 19087. Funeral Service to follow 11:00 a.m. Inurnment Private.
