Neil Olderman Quoted in Modern Healthcare’s “In Depth” Collection on Hospital Outsourcing

Modern Healthcare’s “Daily Dose” recently distributed two articles that include insight from partner and Innovative Health Strategies President Neil Olderman, originally published in 2017 as part of the publication’s “In Depth” look into hospital outsourcing. The articles in this edition of the Daily Dose feature content that discusses outsourcing and revenue cycle management best practices for health systems as they look to cut costs.

In the article “Extra Steps Needed for Successful Outsourcing Relationships,” Neil explains why additional oversight may be necessary to optimize outsourcing arrangements. He stresses the importance of assigning hospital employees experienced in managing vendors and vendor relationships.

In the related story “Outsourcing Patient Interaction, Capital Planning Pays Off for Some Hospitals,” Neil discusses the various ways in which hospitals and health systems are cutting costs through outsourcing. He points to savings on supplies and talent, along with the operations and management knowledge that outside vendors provide, as core benefits that providers can gain through entering into these vendor relationships.
