Libby Baney Named ‘Super Lawyer' by Washington D.C. Super Lawyers

Libby Baney, counsel at Faegre Baker Daniels in Washington, D.C. has been selected as a 2017 “Super Lawyer” in in the Government Relations practice area by Washington D.C. Super Lawyers.

Super Lawyers is an annual service that rates outstanding lawyers in more than 70 practice areas based on peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process includes statewide nominations, peer evaluations and independent research.

Baney is counsel with Faegre Baker Daniels and a principal with Faegre Baker Daniels Consulting. Baney helps clients identify the issues, evaluate their business and policy options, craft a plan, and implement that plan in what are often complex domestic and international policy environments. Much of her work relates to the intersection of internet, technology and health policy issues.

In addition, Baney currently serves as the founding Executive Director of the Alliance for Safe Online Pharmacies Global (ASOP Global), a globally active nonprofit organization based in D.C. In that capacity, she leads ASOP Global’s operations, shapes public policy and advocates for increased international attention to the issue of illegal online drug sellers. She leads strategy in the U.S., European Union and Asia.

The selection process includes a survey asking lawyers to nominate the best attorneys that they have observed in action. Each nomination carries a point value, and nominations from outside an attorney's firm carry substantially greater value than nominations from within the attorney's firm.
