Mike Abbott Named Among M&A Advisor's Emerging Leaders

Mike Abbott, partner in Faegre Baker Daniels’ corporate practice, has been named an Emerging Leader by M&A Advisor.

The Emerging Leaders Awards, formerly known as the 40 Under 40 Awards, celebrate the achievements of young M&A, financing and turnaround professionals who have reached a significant level of success and have made notable contributions to their industry and community. Winners were selected from a pool of nominees from around the world by an independent judging panel.

Abbott is regularly involved in advising companies on a range of strategic matters, including corporate governance, capital generation and acquisition, buy and sell side M&A, compliance, and finance. Over the last several years, Abbott has worked on the successful consummation of more than 50 M&A transactions, ranging in size from $5 million to more than $2 billion. He works with early, mid-stage, and established companies in many industries, with a particular focus in the financial services and food and agriculture industries.

Abbott serves on a number leadership positions both inside and outside of FaegreBD, and currently serves as the leader for the firm’s global food and agriculture industry team’s corporate practice area. In addition, Abbott is a frequent speaker on corporate governance, M&A, and other topics and serves on several nonprofits boards.
