Faegre Baker Daniels Adds Real Estate Expertise in Counsel Jana Ott

Jana Ott has joined Faegre Baker Daniels as counsel in the firm’s real estate practice. She will practice from the Minneapolis office.

Ott advises clients in commercial real estate matters, including contract drafting and negotiation, development and redevelopment, lease agreements, and more.

Ott joins FaegreBD after a career as senior counsel for Target Corporation, where she navigated real estate matters at the highest level. She negotiated and drafted numerous commercial contracts, supported business units on operation, development and redevelopment of over 1,800 stores nationally, closed hundreds of transactions and performed risk assessments on thousands of use restrictions. Her in-house experience allows her to anticipate companies’ needs and design and execute legal and business strategies to meet them.

Ott previously worked at Faegre Baker Daniels from 2002-07. She received her law degree from University of Iowa College of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Drake University.
