Two FaegreBD-Led Deals Finalists for M&A Advisor Awards

Two corporate transactions are finalists in their respective categories in The M&A Advisor Awards. Alimentation Couche-Tard’s acquisition of The Pantry, Inc. is a finalist in the Energy Sector Deal of the Year category, and MOM Brands’ sale to Post Holdings is a finalist in the M&A Deal of the Year category.

Corporate partner Jeff Brown led the team representing Canada-based convenience store industry leader Couche-Tard in acquiring The Pantry for approximately $1.7 billion. The acquisition added 1,500 stores to Couche-Tard’s network in the Southeastern U.S., positioning the company as the leader in the region and reinforcing its place as one of the largest convenience store operators in North America.

Mike Stanchfield, corporate partner in Minneapolis, led the team representing MOM Brands in its $1.15 billion sale to Post Holdings in May 2015. The transaction allowed MOM Brands to maintain its identity and retain its position as a major southern Minnesota employer.

The finalists were selected from nominees in the first stage of evaluation, and The M&A Advisor’s panel of independent judges will select ultimate award winners to be announced at an awards gala on November 17 in New York City.

The M&A Advisor has recognized the achievement of and facilitated connections between the world’s leading mergers and acquisitions, financing, and turnaround professionals with a range of services including M&A summits, awards, networking events, and more.
