Jon Epstein Quoted in New Jersey Law Journal

Princeton, New Jersey RPIC Jonathan Epstein was quoted in a New Jersey Law Journal article, titled, “Firms Entrenched in Princeton Seeing Practice Areas Grow.” The article discussed the growth of businesses moving to or utilizing office space in Princeton, especially in the areas of life sciences, pharmaceutical and financial services.

Drinker Biddle was noted as one of the first firms to settle in Princeton through the merger with the former firm Smith, Lambert, Hicks & Miller in 1987.

“It is an area that feels very compatible and suitable to a firm that has its base in Philadelphia. I think it is still a growth market,” Jon said. Jon also said Princeton has “national recognition as a place that’s unique.”

Jon noted that “we’ve seen a resurgence” in Princeton in recent years. Drinker Biddle’s Princeton office handles real estate development approvals and litigation on behalf of Princeton University, including all representation of the University on its Arts and Transit Neighborhood Project. The NJLJ article noted that the firm also has a growing venture and emerging company practice fueled largely by nearby health-care technology firms and their investors, such as Merck Global Health Innovation Fund, Tigerlabs Ventures and GAIN Capital.
