Change to PA CLE Requirements

The PA CLE Board has announced two new changes to the annual CLE requirement that will permit more credits to be earned via distance learning, and will increase the annual ethics. These requirements will not take into effect until your compliance deadline in 2015. Compliance dates for 2014 are not affected.

Please note the following changes:
Lawyers must now obtain two ethics credits annually (former obligation was one ethics credit per year). The breakdown will be 10 substantive credits and 2 ethics credits per year. The annual total requirement remains at 12 credits.
Lawyers can obtain up to six credits (1/2 of the annual obligation) online as “distance credits.” (The former limit for distance credits was four). Note that Group-attended webcasts will continue to count as “live” credit.
