Matthew Olsen Joins FaegreBD's Construction and Real Estate Practice

Faegre Baker Daniels is pleased to announce that Matthew Olsen has joined the construction and real estate litigation practice group as an associate in the firm's Fort Wayne office.

Olsen received his law degree from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where he graduated summa cum laude in May 2013. He earned his bachelor's degree at Indiana University – Bloomington, where he majored in political science, graduating with high distinction in 2009.

During law school, Olsen worked as a law clerk at Doyle Legal Corporation, where he assisted on title litigation, real estate transactions, mortgage foreclosures and general property law matters. After authoring a law review article on the need for legislation permitting the strict foreclosure of junior omitted lienholders, he helped draft legislation on the same topic that was later adopted by the Indiana Land Title Association and passed by the Indiana Legislature.

In law school, Olsen also served as a fellow for the Dean's Tutorial Society and worked as a legal extern for Eli Lilly and Company.
