Faegre Baker Daniels Ranked in Legal 500 United States 2013

Three legal practices and eight individuals at Faegre Baker Daniels LLP have been recommended in the 2013 edition of Legal 500 United States. Recommended practices include mergers, acquisitions and buyouts; construction; and real estate.
The Legal 500 series is a set of annual, independent guides that rank firms and individuals based on in-depth research and interviews with more than 250,000 corporate counsel from around the globe. The Legal 500 United States ranks firms on a national level and recommended only 311 firms this year.
Faegre Baker Daniels' mergers, acquisitions and buyouts practice was recommended for its middle-market representation in M&A ($500 million-$999 million). The firm provides practical, solution-oriented advice, helping to assist clients in achieving their business objectives. Bruce Engler, head of the mergers and acquisitions practice group, and Chris Hofstad, corporate group leader at FaegreBD, were individually recommended.
The firm's construction practice was recommended and praised by the guide for its success in representing a cross-section of the construction industry and being at the "forefront of automation and technology construction, which requires an integrated understanding of computer and construction law." Individual recognition was also given to leader of the practice, Mark Voigtmann, as well as Patrick O'Connor, who provides expertise across an array of transactional matters and disputes.
Also recommended was the firm's real estate group for its work on behalf of Target Corporation, Piper Jaffray, Gabbert and Gabbert Company, Gander Mountain Company, Life Time Fitness, Oceanaire Seafood Room and Opus Corporation. The group's expertise covers all aspects of commercial real estate transactions including acquisition, development, financing and management.
