Patrick O'Connor of Faegre Baker Daniels Receives Client Choice Award

Patrick J. O'Connor Jr. of Faegre Baker Daniels LLP has been named a recipient of a 2013 Client Choice award from the International Law Office and Lexology for providing outstanding service to clients.

The Client Choice awards recognize law firms and partners around the world who stand out for providing exceptional client care and a high quality of service. Winning attorneys add real value to clients' businesses above and beyond their peers.

O'Connor was recognized for his work in construction law in the Minnesota jurisdiction. He focuses on negotiating and drafting construction contracts, and providing legal risk management advice and insurance coverage and surety counseling. O'Connor represents owners, designers and contractors in construction disputes and has acted as a mediator and arbitrator on many occasions. He is the co-author of Bruner & O'Connor on Construction Law, an eight-volume legal treatise covering all aspects of construction law. O'Connor currently is president-elect of the American College of Construction Lawyers.

To select winners, a research team surveys in-house counsel, asking them to rate 2,000 individual lawyers on quality of legal advice, value for money, commercial awareness, effective communication, billing transparency, tailored fee structures, response time, sharing of expertise and use of technology. A shortlist for each practice area is developed based on survey results, and the research team conducts follow-up interviews with up to five referees submitted by the shortlisted candidates.
