Katrina Cooper Brings 20 Years in Immigration Law to Faegre Baker Daniels

Katrina Cooper, who has built a prominent legal practice in immigration law, has joined Faegre Baker Daniels LLP as a senior solicitor in the firm's immigration and global mobility law practice.

Cooper, whose 20-year career began as a law clerk and solicitor in Australia, spent the last six years as a senior solicitor and manager at Fragomen LLP in London where she developed an impressive knowledge base in UK and Irish immigration.

Cooper's background stretches over EMEA, having overseen and managed Fragomen's regional coordination centre for immigration advice to the corporate world in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She was responsible for ownership and continual development of numerous significant client relationships.

Cooper's experience includes representing some of the world's largest companies across all sectors, including pharmaceutical, oil and gas, technology, industrial, telecommunications, management consulting, and financial. In addition to multinational clients, she strengthened her practice with numerous local small and medium enterprises (SME). Cooper's work has included obtaining sponsorship licenses for clients and structured their human resources policies to comply with ever-changing employer sponsor requirements in the UK.

Cooper regularly provides client training and speaks before legal, business and corporate mobility organizations and forums on various matters, including current immigration issues in emerging markets, global immigration compliance and EU directives impacting the immigration world.

Cooper, who received her diploma of law from Sydney University in Australia, has been recognized in Legal Experts' UK and European directory listing annually since 2009. She is a member of the Immigration Lawyers Practitioners Association (ILPA) and the Law Society of England and Wales.
