Faegre Baker Daniels Lands Veteran Employment Litigator Jacqueline Mrachek

Faegre Baker Daniels, which now boasts a labor and employment practice that is among the largest in the nation, has added veteran Minneapolis employment litigation attorney Jacqueline A. Mrachek to its ranks.

Mrachek, who focuses her practice on representing employers in employment litigation, workplace investigations and employment counseling, brings more than 20 years of employment law experience to Faegre Baker Daniels. She has been named a Super Lawyer in the employment law area every year since 2003 and has been recognized as one of Minnesota's top 50 women Super Lawyers since 2009.

"We're extremely excited that Jacqueline has become a part of our team," said Scott W. Wright, leader of Faegre Baker Daniels' labor and employment practice. "We're in a growth mode, and she brings a tremendous amount of experience, energy and enthusiasm. She will be a significant asset to our group and, more importantly, to our clients."

Before joining Faegre Baker Daniels, Mrachek was a shareholder at Nilan Johnson Lewis in Minneapolis. She has represented clients in a range of industries involving the full scope of employment law issues, including class and collective actions, wage/hour disputes, non-compete litigation, and claims involving harassment, discrimination and retaliation allegations. She also trains managers on workplace conduct and compliance to help clients avoid conflict and litigation.

"I am thrilled to be joining the labor and employment team at Faegre Baker Daniels," said Mrachek. "Working in an AmLaw 100 full-service law firm with a national labor and employment practice provides me a broader platform to serve my clients and the opportunity to take advantage of the niche areas of expertise that my new colleagues have been able to establish."

Mrachek joins a practice of more than 80 full-time labor and employment lawyers in 12 offices across the globe. According to a February 2012 listing published by Law 360, Faegre Baker Daniels' labor and employment practice is now among the top 20 largest such practices in the nation.

Mrachek currently serves on the advisory board of Minnesota Women Lawyers and is a former president of the state organization. She graduated from the William Mitchell College of Law in 1990 after earning her bachelor's degree from the College of St. Benedict in 1986.
