Allison Durham Joins Health & Biosciences Group at FaegreBD Consulting
Allison E. Durham has joined FaegreBD Consulting as a public policy specialist in the health and biosciences practice group in the firm's Washington, D.C. office.
Prior to joining FaegreBD Consulting, Durham earned a Master of Science degree from Georgetown University in microbiology and immunology. Her program — biomedical science, policy and advocacy — allowed her to focus on technical science (including work in the drug discovery lab), how that science influences public policy and inversely how policy shapes science. Previously, she was a senior research assistant in federal government relations for The Ingram Group (a.k.a. The FIRST Group) in Washington, D.C. and Nashville, Tenn., tracking committees and floor actions in Congress and the Tennessee General Assembly.
Durham's experience also includes serving as a senior health care fellow in the U.S. House of Representatives for Rep. Phil Gingrey, M.D. (R-Ga.) and intern in the U.S. Senate for Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn). Last summer, she participated in a medical missions disaster relief trip to Haiti.
Durham graduated from Lipscomb University in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in biology and completed the international scholar laureate program in Sydney, Australia, by studying medicine and public policy.
