Three Faegre & Benson Attorneys Publish Chapter in The Art of Grain Merchandising

Faegre & Benson LLP attorneys Michael Stewart, Jacob Bylund, and Todd Langel are featured authors in the 2010 edition of The Art of Grain Merchandising, a text book and leading industry resource regarding the marketing of commodities.

The attorneys' chapter is entitled "Documenting the Trade & Managing Counterparty Default" and is split into two sections: "Documenting the Trade: Proper Contracting Procedure" (Bylund and Langel) and "Managing Counterparty Default" (Stewart).

The primary authors of The Art of Grain Merchandising, Don White and Sherry Lorton, have published multiple editions of the book to share the expertise of people who are making a difference in grain businesses and the communities that support them. White and Lorton write, "People often ask why they should read this book and the answer is quite simple, because merchandising skills change people's lives."

Stewart, Bylund, and Langel are members of Faegre & Benson's food, agriculture and biofuels industry team. The team represents many of the world's leading food, agriculture and biofuels companies and has more than 100 attorneys dedicated to serving its clients. In addition to contributing to the book, the attorneys will be active participants in the firm's 2010 Food, Agriculture & Biofuels National Conference, taking place in Minneapolis, Minnesota on July 28, 2010.
