Toner, Roberts Named IBF Distinguished Fellows

Kevin Toner and Andrea Roberts of Baker & Daniels LLP have been selected as Indianapolis Bar Foundation (IBF) Distinguished Fellows.

The IBF, the charitable arm of the Indianapolis Bar Association, advances the administration of justice and understanding of the law through philanthropy, education and service. The foundation has funded more than $375,000 to programs that touch families and individuals across Indianapolis.

At Baker & Daniels, Toner and Roberts are both partners, practicing in trial law.

Toner has been named to the Indiana Super Lawyers publication in civil litigation defense over each of the last three years. He represents clients in a variety of matters, including asbestos, personal injury, insurance coverage, class action securities, toxic tort and antitrust. Toner graduated from Harvard Law School after earning an A.B. degree summa cum laude from Indiana University.

Roberts practices in trial and appellate matters, particularly those involving the defense of pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers. She is an instructor for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, and she formerly served as a clerk to the Honorable Randall Shepard, Chief Justice of the Indiana Supreme Court. Roberts graduated from the University of Notre Dame Law School after earning a B.A. degree cum laude from Emporia State University.

Each year, the IBF nominates members of the legal community who have contributed consistently to the profession and community to be designated a Distinguished Fellow. Candidates must have been admitted to the bar for a minimum of five years, be in good standing with the Indiana Supreme Court, have made a significant contribution to the legal profession or community at large and support the mission of the IBF.
