Drinker Biddle Selected as 2004 Law Firm Volunteer of the Year

PHILADELPHIA, PA (January 18, 2005) — Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP has been selected by the Pro Bono Partnership as its Law Firm Volunteer of the Year for 2004.  The award is in recognition of the many Drinker Biddle lawyers in the firm’s Philadelphia, PA, Berwyn, PA, Florham Park, NJ, and Princeton, NJ offices who have volunteered to work on pro bono cases. 

The firm’s lawyers have handled matters such as corporate formation and governance issues, applications for tax-exempt status, legal work relating to economic development projects, and labor and employment cases.

The Pro Bono Partnership, with offices in White Plains, NY, Newark, NJ and Stamford, CT helps to provide free legal assistance to nonprofit organizations whose programs benefit low-income communities or serve the public interest. Since its foundation in 1997, Partnership volunteers and staff attorneys have provided assistance to nearly 700 nonprofits in the tri-state area and addressed more than 1,800 legal issues.
