City of Fort Wayne Negotiating Public-Private Partnership for Renovation of Vacant Industrial Building

The City of Fort Wayne is negotiating a potential public-private partnership to renovate and adapt for reuse a vacant industrial facility with the possibility of approximately a million square feet of mixed-use space. Faegre Drinker is advising the city in the matter, which includes a financing structure that will utilize local, state and federal economic development incentives. The total public and private investment in just the first phase of the project may exceed $300 million.
