General Mills Obtains Order Compelling Arbitration in Eighth Circuit Appeal

Our firm represented General Mills and successfully obtained an order from the Eighth Circuit compelling individual arbitration of Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) claims, reversing the decision below.

The underlying case involves employment claims arising from General Mills' 2012 layoffs. The plaintiffs accepted severance packages and signed releases and arbitration agreements, but then argued that the arbitration agreements and releases were unenforceable as to their age discrimination claims.
