Telephone Company Files Monopolization Lawsuit Against Cable Company

A local telephone company in Puerto Rico seeking to enter the television market with an Internet Protocol television (IPTV) product filed a Section 2 monopolization lawsuit alleging sham petitioning under the Noerr-Pennington doctrine against the incumbent cable company in San Juan that, through a series of regulatory and administrative petitions, delayed its entry into the market by several years. Dylan Carson served as lead counsel for the telephone company.
