Overview
Zi (Kyle) Yie, Ph.D., helps clients prepare and prosecute patent applications, with a particular focus on patents related to electrical, mechanical and software engineering. His multidisciplinary engineering background and technical experience with a range of technologies, including MEMS, control systems, sensor design, semiconductor processing and signal processing, helps Kyle understand and anticipate clients’ needs.
Previous Experience
Prior to joining the firm, Kyle worked as a technical specialist at an IP boutique firm in Chicago. During graduate school, he conducted research on utilizing nonlinear dynamics in MEMS to develop sensors for chemical and biological sensing applications. In addition to his academic work, Kyle gained industry experience developing software programs for conveyor belt systems.Services & Industries
