Joshua Yang advises futures commission merchants, swap dealers, commodity pool operators, commodity trading advisors and investment managers on derivatives and other investment management issues. His clients include many Chinese and European investment managers and financial institutions, which he advises on compliance, disclosure, registration and transactional matters, including forming subsidiaries and setting up operations in the United States.

Joshua also counsels major banks, registered funds and hedge funds in derivatives documentation and a broad range of Dodd-Frank and Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) registration and compliance-related matters. He counsels investment managers in structuring and forming private investment funds, including hedge funds, commodity pools, co-mingled funds, group trusts and collective investment trusts.

In addition, Joshua serves as family counsel to a number of wealthy Chinese families in China and abroad, and advises them on setting up and managing public and private trust companies, family offices and foundations to accomplish their philanthropic, investment, business and wealth transfer objectives. 

Joshua is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
